My man, Clay, had to build Complexity, build Denial, build E-United, and build Empire with 2 ROOKIES. Clay took a ring from Karma and carried Crim to his last one. Sad to see you retire but this also brings up my biggest hate of the new COD system with the locked franchises there is no more cast away/ up and coming teams going through challengers bracket and being able to show the world they still got it and face down the pro teams on the main stage that was the biggest draw of COD to me as a teen was that anyone could be on stage competing for the title of the best if they were good enough all you had to do is win now it’s all locked up with contracts and franchise that childish dream has died for this generation of COD players

Being French and disadvantaged by the time difference, when Call of Duty was at its peak, I used to wake up every morning at 3 a.m. to watch your competitions. I’d get mocked by my friends because I’d say every day that you were 150 times better than Gotaga. In high school, during recess, you were the idol of my friends and me. Everyone would do the Superman pose with their T-shirt when we scored a goal in the yard, pulled off a clutch in SnD, or won an online scrim. We all wanted to be like you. I followed you as best as I could. I remember one time at the ESWC finals in Paris, where I was a spectator, and in anger after losing the final, you threw your medal into the crowd and refused to take a picture with me because you were too upset (you jerk, haha). Since those days, I’ve always admired your competitive spirit and discipline as a player. A lot of people don’t follow you as actively anymore due to the awful state of recent Call of Duty games, but you left your mark on our lives. For all those moments, the highs and lows, thank you so much, Clayster, and I wish you nothing but happiness in the future!

I know i'm late to the party (on youtube anyways) but I just wanted to share my first memory with competitive COD. I've never tried competing myself ofc, but I remember the first time I watched competitive COD, it was Bo2 Slums, with you in the back spawn and I believe you were defending your teams flag, might've gotten a 4 piece or something. You might not remember it, but I remember it- parts of it, anyways. I remember thinking "this guy is nuts, i wish i could do that" and now seeing you retire like this was definitely a bit emotional for me, but i'll always remember that day and the fact that you became my favorite old school COD Pro and i doubt that's gonna change. I know it might be harder to compete now, but nobody's replacing you and Crimsix and Aches and Scump from the past, you guys are just too damn iconic in my mind. Great career, my favorite OG Player for sure and i'm sure your sister is proud.
